Garden Design for the reluctant gardener.
As a qualified horticulturist and expert building supervisor (building licence no. 183200) with over 30 years experience I am confident that I can design the garden that you want. If you are looking for a low water-use and low maintenance garden or you need a swimming pool design I can help you create the perfect space for you.
The range of issues that need to be addressed in garden design includes soil preparation, irrigation design, lighting design, play space design, as well as retaining wall, paving, verandas, pergolas, sheds and utility spaces. I can show you ideas for all of those to create a beautiful, functional and enjoyable space for you and your family.
I can also design to your individual budget which for many people is difficult to know at the beginning of the process. I can help with that in our initial consultation. Whatever your budget though, you can be sure of adding real value to your home both financially and in terms of lifestyle.
Many of our clients have referred us to their friends and they to their friends. Some have written to us and we include some of their comments below.

"Bite the bullet and leave Tony to do what he is good at" - Mr and Mrs Colwell - Vale Park

What is the process?
The first part of designing your garden is the concept session. It usually takes aproximately 90 minutes for you to fully brief me with regard to the "look" or "feel" that you want to achieve. During this time we consider the spaces that you need for your lifestyle. We consider a host of environmental and geographic factors that affect your garden together with a range of possible themes based on your preferences.
Whilst I am with you I will put these garden ideas to paper in the form of non-scale sketches that show you how the garden will look at maturity. Have a look at our gallery page to see the garden design process in pictures and the sketches that we provide at the Concept Session.
In short, we will talk about every aspect of your garden design, right down to where the dustbin goes! We will draw some sketch plans, make a list of possible plants and we will discuss the correct installation of lawns, paving, irrigation, etc. Value: $380
The next step
For most people the next logical step is to develop scaled, detailed garden plans so that the garden ideas can be installed by a landscaper.
Your plans will include layouts for paving, retaining walls, pergolas or verandas, irrigation, drainage, water features, garden art, sails, screens and plants.
Plans are annotated to specify landscaping installation requirements so that everything complies with the Australian Building Code.
Before production of final plans one or more drafts may be presented to ensure your complete understanding of and satisfaction with, the proposed garden.
Value: Most garden plans are completed for between $1500 and $3300
Large blocks by negotiation
